What IS Bespoke Bodywork?

Just like a custom-tailored piece of clothing, Bespoke Bodywork creates therapeutic massage sessions that are made just for you. My name is Tracey Long, and I’ve been a licensed massage therapist for over 20 years. Recently, I overheard a new client I’d treated at a local spa tell her friend, “She was the first massage therapist who actually listened to me!”. That, right there, is what I’m about — listening when you tell me what you hope for in a session, adjusting pressure to suit your particular sensitivity levels, and delivering on expectations — after all, I’ve had enough bad massages in my own life to know that feeling like you just wasted time and money only to have your requests for neck work or TMJ pain ignored is no kind of fun. I will listen to you, and I will encourage you to feel safe in communicating every concern or request, before, during, and after the massage. I am here for you.

I have been asked, “what kind of massage do you do?”. My approach has always been to combine techniques and modalities in order to create a massage that may integrate Swedish strokes, passive stretching, myofascial release, and deep tissue (or what I refer to as “specific muscle work”). As someone who has worked with some of the world’s greatest musicians and athletes, I find that I love to do work that focuses on specific pain issues, or that helps treat and/or prevent injury, especially when preparing for an event or recovering from one. So, whether bodybuilding is your thing, martial arts, playing piano, soccer, or even singing, there’s a massage plan that will help you be better at whatever it is you do. Oh, and I also offer reflexology (price on request), cupping therapy (complementary), prenatal massage, and am certified in massage for oncology patients. I’m currently offering mobile appointments only, and I do have a vetting process for new clients to ensure my safety. I especially welcome the trans community, and, while that should be a given, sadly, lately, it isn't. You will feel safe, honored, and respected.
